The Huayna Picchu ticket or “Wayna Picchu” allows you to visit the Inca city of Machu Picchu, climb the famous Huayna Picchu mountain, and capture the best postcard of your trip to this wonder.

What is Huayna Picchu?

The Huayna Picchu or Wayna Picchu mountain is located at 2,667 meters high, north of the Machu Picchu citadel.

Huayna Picchu is a word that comes from the Quechua “Wayna” meaning young and “Picchu” meaning mountain, which translates to “Young Mountain”. It is the antonym of the also famous Machu Picchu mountain, which means “Old Mountain”.

The path to the top of this mountain is challenging, with stairs and narrow, steep trails.

Huayna Picchu has a viewpoint at the top, offering one of the best views of the Machu Picchu citadel. Additionally, you can see Inca terraces on the slope and a half-built temple known as “The Temple of the Moon”.

How to get to Huayna Picchu?
