Huascarán National Park, located in the Áncash region of Peru, is an impressive natural sanctuary that encompasses most of the Cordillera Blanca. This park, declared a Natural World Heritage Site, spans over 340,000 hectares and hosts a unique biodiversity, with more than 900 species of flora and 200 species of fauna. Among its snow-capped peaks, Huascarán stands out as the highest mountain in Peru and the tropical zone of the world, with an altitude of 6,768 meters above sea level.
Located to the east of Huaraz, covering almost the entire Cordillera Blanca, in the Ancash region.
Huascarán National Park offers a variety of attractions for nature and adventure lovers. Its landscapes include glaciers, high Andean lagoons, and rich biodiversity. Visitors can enjoy activities such as trekking on the Santa Cruz circuit, mountain biking at Punta Olímpica and Portachuelo-Llanganuco, ice and rock climbing, and high mountain skiing at Vallunaraju, Pisco, and Copa. Additionally, it is possible to relax by navigating the tranquil waters of Laguna Chinancocha or Laguna Purhuay.
