Itinerary Bicycle Tour in the Sacred Valley

The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 AM. This exceptional tour will take us through the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through the villages of Urubamba, Rumichaca, Yanahuara, and Santa Ana.

Our route along the Ciclovía del Valle covers approximately 15 kilometers by bike. We’ll start in Urubamba and ride through part of the town until we reach the Ciclovía, which takes us near the riverbanks, offering perfect spots for photos. From there, we’ll continue along a stone path leading to a bridge over the Urubamba River.

Next, we will follow a scenic trail offering panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, its mountains, and the cultivated fields of this beautiful region. We will continue to the village of Santa Ana, where we will enjoy our box lunch. Here, we will find Inca agricultural terraces and a scenic view of the cornfields. After the picnic, we will resume the route to the town of Ollantaytambo.

Along the way, we will learn about local agricultural products such as corn and potatoes. We will also have the option to take a short walk through the town and archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Its narrow streets exude a timeless magic, with Inca constructions and aqueducts still intact despite the passage of time.

We’ll return to Cusco at approximately 5:00 PM, with a transfer back to your hotel

Everything You Need to Bring for the Sacred Valley Bike Tour:

  • Lightweight Backpack: We recommend bringing a small, comfortable backpack to carry a water bottle, sunscreen, documents, and other essentials for your trip.
  • Sportswear: We recommend wearing shorts or lightweight pants for comfort while pedaling.
  • Windbreaker Jacket: It’s important to bring a lightweight windbreaker—preferably waterproof. The weather in the Peruvian Andes is unpredictable, so be prepared for rain at any time.
  • Shoes: Wear shoes with good grip on both the pedals and the ground. We recommend hiking shoes, as they’re versatile for cycling.
  • Sunscreen: It’s essential to use sunscreen, as Cusco sits at over 3,000 meters above sea level, where sun exposure is more intense. Don’t forget to bring yours.
  • Water Bottle: If you have a reusable water bottle, don’t forget to bring it. Otherwise, we’ll provide one during your trip.
  • Sunglasses: Just like sunscreen, it’s important to protect your eyes. Always wear sunglasses with UV protection.
  • Camera: We’ll pass through breathtaking landscapes, so don’t forget to bring a camera or your phone to capture your cycling experience in the Sacred Valley.
  • Rain Gear: During the rainy season, bring a poncho or raincoat.
