In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train operator’s bus terminal. On a comfortable bus operated by the train company, you will travel about 1 hour and 30 minutes through the Peruvian Andes to the Ollantaytambo train station. From there, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying spectacular views and a unique chance to take in nature at its finest.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting to provide personalized assistance and accompany you on a 25-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu. As you enter the Inca Citadel, your guided tour will begin, revealing the site’s fascinating history, architecture, and natural wonders. This 2- to 3-hour experience is perfect for recharging and capturing memorable moments.

WHAT IS THE SOLO-TRAVELER TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU LIKE?
On the day of your visit, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the bus terminal. From there, you’ll enjoy a 1-hour and 30-minute ride through the majestic Peruvian Andes to the Ollantaytambo train station. Along the way, you’ll have panoramic views and a glimpse into the customs of local communities. At Ollantaytambo, you will board a train for a 1-hour and 50-minute journey along the Vilcanota River, passing mountains and Andean villages.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our professional guide will meet you and accompany you to the bus terminal. A 25-minute bus ride will take you to the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, perched atop the mountain. Here, you will embark on a 2- to 3-hour guided tour of the Inca citadel, delving into its history, architecture, and cultural significance. You’ll have the chance to capture the iconic panoramic view of Machu Picchu.
After the tour, return to Aguas Calientes by bus. You will have time to explore the charming streets of Machu Picchu town at your leisure, visit craft markets, sample local cuisine, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture.
