Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu serves as the perfect setting for one of the action scenes in the movie "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." In this scene, the clash between the Autobots and Maximals, and the Predacons led by Scourge, takes place. Here, you can appreciate the terraces and citadel of the Incas (Cusqueños).
We depart from Cusco early in the morning in our comfortable transportation and travel through mountains, beautiful valleys, rural communities, and visit Ninamarca Chullpas (tombs), which belong to the pre-Inca culture (Lupacas). Then, we will ascend the final mountain and reach Acjanaco, which is the entrance to Manu National Park. After this, we will descend into the mysterious cloud forest, which has a great variety of flora and fauna. In the afternoon, we will take a hike in this evergreen cloud forest, where we can see the famous Peruvian bird (Cock-of-the-Rock) with its fascinating red colors. After passing through this beautiful humid mountain forest and small Amazonian villages, we will arrive at the Atalaya River Port, the main tourist port of Manu National Park. Here, we will board our motorized boat and navigate this Madre de Dios River to our EcoManu Lodge. Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.
The scenes of the lush jungle where the Autobots meet the rest of the Maximals were filmed in the Peruvian jungle, located in the eastern region of Peru. It makes sense that a forest with such characteristics serves as a home for the animals represented by the Maximals. However, in reality, there is no such place within the Cusco department.
Early in the morning, you will wake up to the songs of the Amazonian birds and the lush Amazon rainforest. Here, we will enjoy a healthy breakfast. It's a day to explore the primary forest, where we will appreciate colorful birds and giant ceiba trees, giant fig trees, rubber trees, and many air plants. It's a great opportunity for climbing and swinging. During this hike, our expert guide will explain about medicinal plants and their properties.
In the afternoon, after tea time, we head to the mammal clay lick, a special place in the Amazon rainforest. After just 30 minutes walking towards the forest, we will arrive at a large wooden platform over 4 m high that will allow us to see several mammals. This is a truly fascinating and unforgettable experience where you become completely one with nature, sleeping among the trees and listening to the sounds of nearby animals.
Nighttime activities are available every evening. These include night walks, talks on different topics, and caiman spotting.
Early in the morning, we depart and take our motorized boat to the small clay lick (clay wall) on the riverbank, where hundreds of noisy parakeets, parrots, and small macaws come to feed on the mineral-rich clay. We then continue by boat along the Madre de Dios River to visit Machuwasi (lake), and with the help of our telescope, we will appreciate many families of hoatzins (primitive bird), horned screamer, hawk, herons, capybara (largest rodent in the world), and if we're lucky, an anaconda.
As night falls, we can go into the forest with our flashlight and search for some caimans, frogs, owls, and many other nocturnal creatures around the lake. Overnight in our comfortable EcoManu lodge.
Early in the morning, we will have our fresh breakfast. After a 20-minute boat ride upstream, we will arrive at the small river port of Atalaya, where our transportation will be waiting for us and will take us back to Cusco. On the way back, we can make frequent stops to observe some birds in the cloud forest. We will arrive in Cusco at approximately 16:00 hours to transfer you to the airport for your return flight.
NOTE: The movie was fully dubbed into Quechua by fans. With this gesture of revaluing our own language of the Cusqueños in its expansion, the film was able to reach thousands of Quechua speakers in the region. It should be noted that only the scene of the conversation between Amaru and Optimus Primal mentioned below was respected in Quechua in all existing official dubs.

This site was the origin of QOSQO (Cusco) as a city and served as a place for the exchange of products, ideas, concepts, traditions, and customs. The Plaza de Armas in Cusco was the political and economic epicenter of many civilizations before the arrival of the conquistadors in Cusco in 1534.
