We will begin our “Inti Raymi 2025 Cusco and Machu Picchu” adventure by welcoming you and picking you up at Cusco Airport, transferring you comfortably to your hotel. In the afternoon, around 12:30 PM, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin our journey. Our tour starts with a visit to the famous city of Cusco (City tour).
Our first stop will be the renowned Cusco Cathedral, one of the city's main temples, housing priceless historical pieces and artworks, considered one of the most significant and beautiful in South America. Next, we will visit the Qorikancha Temple, or Temple of the Sun, a magnificent religious structure considered sacred by the Incas, as it was a place to worship the Sun God “Inti.”
We will continue our guided tour to the archaeological sites around the city of Cusco, starting with the majestic Sacsayhuaman. Its Quechua name means “satisfied falcon” and it was built with enormous stone blocks. In Inca times, it was called the house of the “Sun” and served as a significant religious center that also protected Cusco from its enemies.
We will then visit Q'enqo, which means “Labyrinth,” a name given by the Spanish due to its maze-like underground galleries and small canals carved in a zigzag pattern. Later, we will move on to Puca Pucara, known as the Red Fortress due to the color of its stones. Finally, we will explore Tambomachay, a site dedicated to the worship of water, supplying this element to the Inca baths and surrounding areas.
We will conclude our day in the magnificent Plaza de Armas of Cusco at around 6:00 PM, enjoying the charm and splendor of this iconic location.

After the tour, you can take a stroll around the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings, where you can appreciate the craftsmanship of Cusco artisans in the local shops. You can also savor the renowned Peruvian cuisine in nearby restaurants or simply relax on one of the benches in the Plaza de Armas, capturing memories with a classic photo in a warm atmosphere, even during Cusco's cool nights. If you enjoy nightlife, the area around the Plaza de Armas offers a variety of discos and bars where you can unwind and have fun.
We will start our day with breakfast at your hotel. Around 7:30 AM, we will pick you up and head to the archaeological site of Pisac, located 45 minutes from Cusco. Pisac will give you an idea of the advanced architectural knowledge the Incas possessed during their time.
Some studies suggest that it was not a fortress but rather a “royal estate” during the reign of Inca Pachacutec, consisting of terraces, domestic and ceremonial structures, and aqueducts that provided water for agriculture. Another compelling reason to visit Pisac is its artisan market, where you can find unique and authentic souvenirs.
At noon, we will head to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch, allowing you to taste delicious Peruvian cuisine. Urubamba was one of the main agricultural centers of the Inca Empire. Today, it is known for producing some of the finest corn in the world, and during the rainy season, the valley is filled with native fruits such as peaches, capuli, quince, and first-class strawberries.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, which was an agricultural, religious, and astronomical center. This conclusion is drawn from the presence of Colcas, which are storage structures used for preserving agricultural products, designed to take advantage of the wind system, and its finely carved stone blocks strategically placed facing the Sun God to manage the Sacred Valley.
This archaeological site features a series of terraces with impressive large stone blocks located on the upper terrace. In Ollantaytambo, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will prepare for an early visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

This day promises an exciting journey as we explore one of the wonders of the modern world, Machu Picchu. We will start early, arranging your transfer to the bus station for a brief 25-minute journey to the majestic Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
Upon arriving at Machu Picchu, you will immediately feel its magical energy, enjoy its temperate climate, and breathe in the tranquility of the surroundings.
