The E-bike tour explores the most popular and important archaeological sites in the city of Cusco, which many tourists commonly visit by car. However, we will ride bicycles on a fun journey through these sites. Our transportation will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco around 8:00 a.m., and in a short 30-minute drive, we will reach the Saqsayhuaman archaeological complex. This ceremonial center was constructed with colossal stones that still lack a concrete explanation for their construction. We will have an approximately 30-minute walk in the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Complex.
After concluding our visit, we will mount our bicycles and pedal for 45 minutes along the asphalt road, passing through landscapes and communities engaged in agriculture, textile sales, and craftsmanship. After 45 minutes of cycling, we will reach the next viewpoint called Pucapucara. We will briefly explore Pukapukara, an ancient Inca surveillance and control post. Facing this complex is Tambomachay, a center of water worship and cult, with hydraulic canals showcasing impressive engineering techniques. We will spend an approximate 30 minutes visiting Tambomachay.
Following our visit to Tambomachay at around 10:30 a.m., we will continue cycling on the asphalt road until we reach the Yuncaypata village. Here, you will get up close to the agricultural richness, crop fields of various types of potatoes, oats, and alfalfa. Additionally, you can enjoy breathtaking landscapes, and weather permitting, catch a glimpse of the Ausangate mountain peak to the south. We will then continue cycling along an ancient trail historically used for food transportation and tree felling, a practice exclusively carried out by the communities. This will lead us to the Inkilltambo Archaeological Complex (12:00 p.m.), renowned for its Inca terraces and canals.
Inkilltambo will be the final point of our E-bike tour, where we will upload the bikes to the mobility that will take us back to our Hotel in the city of Cusco, ending in this way at approximately 1:00 p.m. our adventure.
