Our Ruta del Sol Tour begins with a hotel pickup at approximately 6:00 AM. We will embark on a fantastic journey through the southern region of Peru, heading to the city of Puno, home to the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. Along the way, we'll make several stops at different points of interest, allowing you to take photos and explore the attractions, ensuring this visit becomes an unforgettable experience.
Enjoy the tranquility of the fields, mountains, lagoons, and natural surroundings. During this journey, we'll visit the Capilla Sixtina de América (Andahuaylillas Chapel), a 17th-century church known for its stunning murals, which adorn the walls and ceiling, featuring intricate gold leaf work and paintings from the Cusqueña school.
Our next stop is the Raqchi Archaeological Complex, home to impressive adobe structures that stand 15 meters tall, 92 meters long, and 25 meters wide. This site showcases remarkable urban planning.
We’ll break for lunch around noon and continue our journey, stopping at the significant midway point known as Abra de La Raya, the border between Cusco and Puno. This location is surrounded by the Peruvian Andes and the Chimboya Mountain, providing an excellent backdrop for photos.
On the Ruta del Sol towards Puno, we will visit Pukara, an area where the Pre-Columbian Pukara Culture thrived between 100 BCE and 300 CE, notable for its ceramics, pyramid structures, and hydraulic works.
Finally, we reach the city of Puno, home to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, marking the end of our Ruta del Sol tour from Cusco to Puno.

On our Cusco to Puno Ruta del Sol tour, you will discover incredible places such as Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya, Pukara, and Puno.
We will depart from Cusco, where we will pick you up around 6:00 AM. At approximately 8:30 AM, we will arrive at our second stop, Andahuaylillas, where we will visit this traditional town located 36 kilometers from Cusco.
Andahuaylillas is part of the Andean Baroque Route, known for the incredible San Pedro Apóstol Church, also called the Sistine Chapel of America. Its interior walls are adorned with paintings that are true works of art, stretching from floor to ceiling, featuring admirable decorations and gold leaf embellishments.
For our third stop, around 11:00 a.m., we will visit the Raqchi archaeological site, an impressive stone and adobe construction that showcases the grandeur of the Inca Empire. The vast and complex area features the Temple of Wiracocha, located on a platform and divided into two naves with gigantic columns and walls that reach a height of 15 meters.
We will have lunch at midday and then continue to La Raya Pass, the highest point of the journey, where we can enjoy stunning landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and the snow-capped Chimboya Mountain. Here, we can take photos and breathe in the fresh Andean air.
The fifth stop on our Ruta del Sol journey is the Pucara Lithic Museum, where visitors can admire a collection of stelae and monoliths of various sizes, along with ceramics, textiles, and culturally significant artifacts recovered from the Pucara archaeological site, which thrived between 100 B.C. and 300 A.D.
Our final destination will be the magnificent city of Puno, home to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. We will arrive around 6:30 PM, marking the end of our incredible Ruta del Sol tour.
