Our Choquequirao Trek starts very early. We depart from Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. approximately in our tourist transportation and head towards Cachora, an Andean community located 4 to 5 hours from Cusco at 2800 m.s.n.m./9184 ft. This is the starting point of our hike, surrounded by Andean mountains and snow-capped peaks (we will be accompanied by the impressive view of Nevado Padreyoc, which in Spanish means "the place of the Father").
Our transportation will drop us off near the Capuliyoc pass, where we meet our muleteers and mules. At this point, our chef will prepare a light meal to start our hike with energy.
