ATV tour in the 7 Colors Mountain full day

The ATV tour to the Rainbow Mountain is one of our exclusive and innovative products. Instead of a 1-hour hike, we replace it with a 20-minute adventure ride to get close to the Rainbow Mountain. This tour is an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) adventure in the Andes, providing a completely different experience when visiting Vinicunca (VINIKUNKA).

Atv In The Mountain Of 7 Colors

Our ATV tour to Rainbow Mountain is one of our exclusive and innovative offerings, providing a faster and more accessible way to reach the summit. Instead of hiking uphill for an hour, you will enjoy a 20-minute ATV or motorcycle ride to ascend Vinicunca Mountain.

We will pick you up early from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM and travel through the South Valley, passing beautiful landscapes and observing the daily life of local communities. After a two-hour journey, we will arrive in Pitumarca, where we’ll enjoy an Andean buffet breakfast before continuing to our base in Ccairahuiri.

At the base, our guide will give you instructions on how to use your ATV. After a safe practice session and the instructor’s approval, you will trade the one-hour uphill walk for a 20-minute ATV ride to the impressive Rainbow Mountain in Vinicunca, declared a Unique Natural Treasure in the World.

Rainbow Mountain is located at 5,036 meters (16,522 feet) above sea level. Our guide will explain the orography, ecosystem, and vibrant colors of the mountain, a natural marvel created by the oxidation of various minerals in its geological formations. Rainbow Mountain is almost as high as Everest Base Camp, which stands at 5,389 meters above sea level.

After finishing your visit to the mountain, you will return to the base to drop off the ATVs and head to the restaurant for lunch.

The afternoon return marks the end of your Full-Day ATV Tour to Rainbow Mountain. After experiencing the natural and cultural wonders of the region, we will head back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 4:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to rest.

Itinerary ATV Tour in the 7 Colors Mountain full day

This is one of our exclusive and innovative tours to the 7 Colors Mountain, offering an adventure in the Andes with a 20-minute ascent on ATVs (All-Terrain Vehicles).

We will begin by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM before heading through the South Valley. Along the way, you will observe diverse landscapes and the daily life of local communities. After a two-hour drive, we’ll arrive in Pitumarca for a buffet breakfast. We’ll then continue to Checacupe, known for its three bridges representing different architectural eras.

  • The Inca Bridge: Built to connect the Inca road network, or Qhapaq Ñan, its foundations date back to 1448 and support a woven straw suspension bridge, which is regularly replaced by local villagers. Legend has it that the visionary Inca leader Wiracocha ordered its construction.
  • The Colonial Bridge: A sturdier stone bridge built during the Spanish colonial era in the 16th century, still in use today.
  • The Republican Bridge: A modern metal structure built to reinforce the area’s road infrastructure.

After taking souvenir photos, we’ll head to our base in Ccairahuiri. Our guide will provide instructions on using the ATVs, and after a brief practice, you’ll swap the one-hour uphill walk for a 20-minute ATV ride to the impressive 7 Colors Mountain in Vinicunca, declared a Natural Treasure unique in the World.

The 7 Colors Mountain stands at 5,036 meters above sea level. Our guide will explain the topography, ecosystem, and vibrant colors of the mountain, a natural wonder formed by the oxidation of various minerals. You’ll also enjoy breathtaking views of Apu Ausangate, the most powerful and sacred mountain, known as the ‘creator of waters.’ Its thaw feeds the Vilcanota River, which flows through the Urubamba Valley before joining the Amazon River, the longest and most voluminous river in the world.

The 7 Colors Mountain is almost as high as Everest Base Camp, which stands at 5,389 meters (17,650 feet) above sea level.

After the tour, we will embark on a 20-minute downhill ride back to the base, where we’ll leave the ATVs and head to a restaurant for lunch.
